Well besties… summer is FINALLY here!!! Which means one thing and one thing only… it’s PICNIC season, baby! Today I’m sharing all my favorite summer picnic tips so your next girls’ day, backyard brunch, or park hang feels stress-free. From the perfect picnic cocktails to cute activities and must-pack essentials, I’ve got you covered!
First things first… where’s the party happening?!
Your backyard? A local park? Either way, before you spread out that gorgeous picnic blanket, do a quick scout of the area. Nobody wants to discover hidden bumps AFTER the charcuterie board is already down.
And babes… ALWAYS check the weather forecast before locking in your picnic date. A surprise rainstorm can totally crash the vibe.
The key to a successful summer picnic menu is keeping things fresh, easy, and shareable. Think fresh fruit, sandwiches and wraps, crackers, snack boards, and sweet little treats that everyone can grab while lounging in the sunshine.
If you’re hosting guests, make sure to ask about food allergies or sensitivities ahead of time. A thoughtful hostess is ALWAYS in style.
And if the temps are extra spicy outside? Make sure you skip foods that spoil quickly in the heat and keep cold foods chilled until serving time.
No picnic party is complete without something fabulous to sip on.
I always recommend having a mix of easy grab-and-go drinks ready for your guests. Canned cocktails, sparkling wine, champagne, or fruity spritzes are perfect for effortless outdoor entertaining.
But if you REALLY want to impress the group? Batch cocktails are where the magic happens.

Okay besties… THIS is my biggest picnic hack of all.
I call it the “Mom Bag.”
And trust me, she is the unsung hero of every successful summer picnic.
Pack a roomy tote with all the little emergency essentials you might need, like sunscreen, bug spray, wet wipes, a mini first-aid kit, trash bags… even hand soap, and an extra water bottle or two to wash your hands!
Will you use every single thing in the bag every time? Maybe not.
But the SECOND somebody needs a band-aid, napkin, bug spray, or cleanup solution? Suddenly you become the queen of the picnic universe.
At the end of the day, the best picnics aren’t about perfection. They’re about laughter, sunshine, fabulous cocktails, and celebrating the little moments with the people you love most.
So pack the snacks. Chill the margaritas. Bring your cutest glasses. And go make some memories worth toasting to.
