Growing up in Virginia, I used to see cardinals in the winter, all the time. I had never seen such a beautiful thing as the Cardinal, every single time I saw one it was a marvel… especially against the brilliance of the white snow on a limb. Enthralling every time.

Cardinals are symbolic of vitality, renewal and strength. People often think of them as messengers of those who have passed on. A reminder that those in the afterlife love us and watch over us.

For this glass, I paired the cardinal with soft pink cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are symbolic of renewal and transition. Something I thought matched beautifully with the symbolism of cardinals.
