Making A Bridesmaid’s Box
Wedding season is upon us! There are SO many fun and unique ways to ask your besties to be your bridesmaids – my personal favorite has been the little bridesmaid boxes! I LOVE that you can truly tailor each box to fit your personal wedding style. Whether you’re going all out or keeping it simple with a few close friends and family, these adorable boxes are the perfect bridesmaid’s gift. Especially, when they feature my hand-painted glasses! 😉 In the spirit of my new wedding glasses, I decided to make a cute little bridesmaid box myself! Let’s walk through my process.
For this box I’m going with a classic wedding theme, think traditional “little white chapel” and delicate soft colors. If your wedding colors are already picked out, now is the time to let them shine! Still undecided on your colors? Pick out one of my glasses to be the star of the show and pull a palette from there! I’ll be using my Bride Tribe Hand-Painted Wine Glass in my bridesmaid’s box, so many of my colors will be reflective of the design.
You don’t have to go with my Bride Tribe glass, of course. If you’re holding a beach wedding, maybe explore my coastal glasses or if you’re more of a timeless bride see if one of my floral glasses best fits your wedding vibe! Remember, these boxes are a reflection of your wedding aesthetic – you do YOU babe! Now is the time to let your creativity shine!!!
Picking a box to hold your gifts doesn't have to be boring. Amazon, Home Goods, and even Michaels have sturdy, but cute options you can find in their gift wrapping sections. Have fun finding something that fits your wedding vibe! For my boho brides – maybe consider a vintage crate! You don't want it to overwhelm the gifts inside though, so keep it simple, yet classy. Before filling your chosen box, you'll NEED some soft filler to keep things from moving around or getting damaged. White crinkle paper is usually the standard, but you could choose another color. I recommend sticking to a light or neutral color, though. It is the BEST way to let your gifts shine!!
Now for the gifts!!! First up is a little comfort. A truly traditional bridesmaid gift is a robe for the morning of. Find something that fits your theme, but also keep in mind neutrals that will look good on everyone for those getting ready photos. Keep white for yourself, OF COURSE, but cream, pinks or even black are lovely on just about anyone! If you're doing a destination wedding, consider a beach coverup or if it's a winter wedding a cozy scarf or shawl.
Once you’ve got your base gift, add in a little bit of bubbly to celebrate! Individual champagne bottles are easily found at most local grocers, but you can spice them up like I did with custom labels! Find some adorable ones from small businesses on Etsy or design your own with Canva. To keep the silky theme going I also added a matching scrunchie to go with the robe in each box. Nothing is worse than missing something to keep your hair back while you’re trying to do your makeup! Other little gifts you can add include matching necklaces, bracelets, hair accessories... the options really are endless here! Just be sure that it is a continuation of your theme, be it beach, boho or chic.
Now to add something as sweet as your bridesmaids! There are dozens of luxury candy brands out there with unique shapes and flavors. But nothing beats a classic like Dove or Ferrero Rocher. You can even switch it up and give each of your bridesmaids something unique to their personality! I went with these adorable little rose shaped rosé flavored gummies from Sugarfina; they perfectly match the little roses on my Bride Tribe glass.
Speaking of the star of the show! One of my hand-painted wine glasses is the perfect crowning piece to any bridesmaid's box. I themed my box around the Bride Tribe Hand-Painted Wine Glass, taking inspiration from the soft pinks and peaches and blue and white accents, so of course it's the glass I chose to include. I love the small details of lace around the base and OF COURSE all the little gems.
Don't forget the final detail of personalization. You could print labels or make handwritten cards. Above and beyond would be sharing a special little note about why you would just love each bestie to be part of your Bride Tribe!! What do you think? Will you be making bridesmaid's boxes for your bride tribe? Let me know over on the 'gram!!
