GLAM-ology Monday: Pretty as a Peony
Let’s make this drink look as pretty as a peony. Literally.
You already know Pretty as a Peony is light, floral, and softly sparkling. This Mixology Monday is all about turning that sip into a visual moment. Think flowers. Think romance. Think a drink that feels like it bloomed right in the glass.
I’ve got two ways to do it. One easy. One for the truly committed. Both SO worth it.
Idea One: Fancy Ice, Made Easy
This is the simplest glow-up with the biggest payoff.
Slice lemons or oranges thin and grab your ice tray. Gently shape the slices into rose-like spirals and freeze. For a little EXTRA add some juice instead of water to the tray. Depending on your ice cube size, one or a few cubes per glass is PERFECT. As the ice melts, the citrus “flower” opens up inside the drink. It’s stunning. It smells amazing. And it adds a little extra flavor as it melts.
Easy. Elegant. Instant wow.

Idea Two: Edible Flowers (For the Dedicated)
If you’re ready to hunt a little, edible flowers are the ultimate peony moment.
Look for food-grade petals only, sourced from growers who raise flowers specifically for eating. This part matters. Never use grocery store bouquets. Ever. When you find the right ones, though? OH. SO. WORTH. IT.
Float a petal on top. Tuck one along the rim. Suddenly the drink feels couture. DEMURE!
And if you’re feeling extra dedicated, go one step further and make candied petals. Brush edible petals with whisked egg white, sprinkle with superfine sugar, and let them dry. Sweet. Shimmery. Absolutely unforgettable!!
Pretty as a Peony Cocktail
Shake gin, Campari, honey syrup, lemon juice, and orange juice with ice. Strain into your Pretty as a Peony glass over your fancy ice. Top with sparkling rosé. Pause. Admire. Sip.
