A Vacation in a Glass

Summer is here. Kids are out of school. All the neighbors are outside. It’s easy to get restless as a family or a single gal like me, so planning a vacay can be the most important part of your Summer!!!

I like heading to places with a wide variety of pleasurable experiences. A little nature, a little nurture, good gastronomic events, and of course Lolita created libations.

I grab my chosen acrylic glass set, and I love bringing a real Lolita wine glass or two as a hostess gift or for my housekeeper at the end of the trip. The most important part of this is how are you using these fun glasses for your Summer travels?

So, I think of every trip I take as a vacation in a glass. The traveling wine glass. With my superb packaging, there is very little risk of the glasses breaking or acrylics becoming damaged! And there is a design for everyone. Vacay in style!!

Recently, I decided to head to Martha’s Vineyard, the perfect escape. Not only is the island naturally gorgeous, but I love all the little villages with their own singular vibe (from super Casual Oaks Bluff to refined Edgartown and Vineyard Haven to finally the prettiest beach and fish shacks at Menemsha, best sunsets, too!) And Uber is readily available on Martha’s Vineyard, so no worries there!

No excuses, pack your bags and go! Settle in and head to Edgartown for shopping, a massage and light dinner. Then back to your pad and the next day head to Oaks Bluff and hit the beach. Wine glasses in your cooler, of course. Head to the cliffs down in Aquinnah the next morning, with your soft sided cooler filled with ice, rose’ and some nice Camembert. Spread your towel, and soak in a little sun with your peeps or your favorite person (this should be yourself!!) and be a standout with your Lolita Acrylicware.

Visit Vineyard Haven for gourmand delights, such as the Balsamic Vinegar shop, head to the Sweet Life for dinner, and on to the Ritz for some low-down local music, Karaoke and dancing.

Here’s how I roll and my vacay essentials for a place like MV!

  • Sun Hat
  • Beach Bag
  • Bathing Suit
  • Cover up (or t shirt and shorts)
  • Sunscreen
  • Work out outfit
  • 2 sundresses
  • 2 shorts and top combos
  • Windbreaker
  • Sweatshirt
  • Flip flops
  • 1 pair of sandals
  • Sneakers
  • Wedges (heels not a good idea on an island I’ve discovered!!)
  • A set or two of Lolita acrylicware
  • 2 Lolita Wineglasses
  • Corkscrew
  • Collapsible cooler (I prefer Scout brand-they don’t leak and have tons of room!!)

If you’re staying in a hotel you may decide to bring your own cheeses and crackers, but little markets abound around the island.

Pick your adventure. Head to Martha’s Vineyard and have the most relaxing vacay ever!!

Of course, you would pack other essentials, like toiletries. But notice my list is SUPER casual. I tend to overpack, but I’d rather have what I need versus not. Oh, an extra duffle bag in case you do decide to shop!!
