A Sweet Galentine’s

A Sweet Galentine’s

It’s that time of year again! Time to celebrate love in all its wonderful forms.

I love hosting my annual Galentine’s party. Celebrating the female friendships in my life is very important to me. After all, it was my girlfriends that helped inspire my brand!

I always like to start my party planning with a theme or a palette. This year I wanted to go with a very classic sweet theme. A bright and airy feel with lots and LOTS of pinks!

I’ve been loving a tonal palette lately, it’s classy and simple. If you feel nervous about pairing colors as a beginner hostess, don’t worry. A great place to start exists. Just pick one color and find some matching shades!

Now that I have planned my palette, it’s time to choose some of my hand-painted glassware to join the party! I really want to use my newest love themed glass – Valentine's Bouquet. But I also want to add a little variety to my table, so I’m pairing it with my Pretty As A Peony glass. These two will add a sweet floral touch to my table.

Speaking of florals – we can’t forget the centerpiece! If choosing a glass or a palette, has you stumped finding your centerpiece can be another great place to begin planning out your party. In this case, I knew I wanted to keep things light, airy and sweet. I chose a bouquet of pink peonies to match my Pretty As A Peony glass and add softness to the look of the table.

Now that we have chosen the centerpiece and glasses, we can move on to planning the rest of the table! Bows are so adorable and have been trendy for quite some time so I couldn’t resist adding a few to my tablescape.

Meri Meri has these cute bow heart plates I found on Amazon. I’m matching the gold in the bow with some gold cutlery. To keep the bow theme going I tied a few around my centerpiece’s vase as well.

I also added this stunning white textured lace tablecloth which complements the light and airy feel I was inspired by. If you feel that your tablescapes are missing something one of the best things you can do is add some texture in! I matched the pinks of my bows and plates with a pretty pink gauze runner. I also added a few petals along it for extra charm.

With the table set and ready we’re only missing one thing, the wine and food of course! I’m keeping things simple with a few store-bought cupcakes dressed up with some gold cupcake wrappers and these adorable little bow candles. I’m planning on offsetting the sweetness of the cupcakes with a drier red wine – a merlot or a cabernet sauvignon. But you can also emphasize the sweet theme with a bottle of rosé or bubbly, hostess’s choice!

I have my party planned and invitations sent. I’m excited to spend quality time with my girlfriends this Galentine’s Day. Best wishes from me to you and all your girls this Galentines!
