A Roaring 20's Party: All About the Champs!
The champs is the champagne. Got it? Good!!
If I could time travel, it would be straight to the 1920s. No contest. The style makes me swoon. Beaded flapper dresses. Feathered headbands. Pearls that go on forever. BLING for days. And gold. Everywhere gold. Add in jazz, cocktails, and champagne that never stopped flowing… and it’s no wonder this era still inspires some of the BEST parties today.
The 20s were about celebration, indulgence, letting loose. Which means it’s the perfect theme for an unforgettable soirée. Birthday? Anniversary? Just want an excuse to throw on sequins and sip bubbly with friends? The Roaring 20s has you covered. Here’s how to throw a party that sparkles as much as your champagne glass!
Guest List: Quality Over Quantity
Keep it chic. This isn’t the time for a crowd of randos. Invite your favorites, the ones you’d actually want to sip champagne with until 2 a.m. Ten to sixteen people feels perfect. If only half make it? Still perfect. Adults-only, of course. Let’s be honest… this one’s about the cocktails!!!

The Decor: Gold Everywhere
The 20s were lavish but tasteful. Metallics, feathers, beads, and a hint of Art Deco drama.
- Gold-rimmed glassware, trays, and candle holders = INSTANT GLAM!
- Feathers & beads draped on tables or even tucked in outfits
- Art Deco patterns on napkins, runners, or invites
One of my favorite tricks? Bargain-store metallic curtains as tablecloths. Or scoop up gold ornaments after Christmas and pile them in clear vases. ANYTHING gold works.
And for the best party favor? Let guests sip from a Lolita Wine Glass all night and take it home. It’s chic, useful, and unforgettable. Might I suggest one of my “Black & Gold” Stemless Wine Glasses?!?

The Drinks: Champagne, Champagne, More Champagne!!
The real star of the night is bubbly. Set up a DIY champagne bar. Keep bottles chilled, then add mix-ins: peach purée, citrus slices, fresh berries, or syrups. And you must have a signature cocktail. I love this one:
The Flapper
- 2 oz. Brandy
- ½ oz. Lemon Juice
- ½ oz. Peach Syrup
- 2 dashes Bitters
- Mint garnish
Shake it, strain it, add a sprig of mint. Simple, refreshing, FABULOUS. Sugared rim optional but highly recommended. Not a champagne fan? A whiskey station will keep your “Gatsby's” happy.

The Menu: Chic Little Bites
Skip the sit-down dinner. You want your guests mingling, dancing, sipping. Serve elegant, handheld bites. Effortless, chic, and no stress for the hostess.
- Caviar service
- Shrimp cocktail
- Chocolate-covered strawberries
- A luxe cheese board
- Mini cakes or petit fours
Dress Code: Bring the Bling
This is the FUN part. Encourage sparkle and glam. The more your friends commit, the better the vibe!!
- Ladies: beaded dresses, feathers, pearls, metallic heels
- Gents: suits, suspenders, bow ties, polished shoes
The Mood: Golden Glow
Jazz is non-negotiable. Blues and swing too. Create a playlist of 1920s classics, then sneak in some modern electro-swing for fun. Keep the lights warm and low so everything glows golden.
With golden decor, endless champagne, chic small bites, and sparkle everywhere, your Roaring 20s bash will feel like stepping back in time. So grab your pearls, pop the champs, and toast to a night Gatsby himself would envy.
Because life’s too short for boring glasses. And YES, girlfriend, you need a Lolita Wine Glass for this one!!
XOXO,
Lolita
